Plymouth Spotlight Season 2 - Episode 01

The 2nd season of Plymouth Spotlight opens with a track by Coby Carlucci. His 2013 record "Dragline" is a great piece of work (as was his previous album "Texarkana").This song, Sunday, is my favorite from this album.

Then we get a live performance from Steve Abdu and Craig Engel (of the band Newfound Grass). This was recorded at American Pie Pizza and Pub, home of the Plymouth Spotlight open mic night (Tuesdays at 6pm). Here they regale us with their song Eighteen Wheels.

Up next: The Roadies. I found this CD at a Goodwill here in New Hampshire, and this song kicks off our Second Hand Sounds segment. The album was recorded in 1998 at Dizzyland Studios in Rochester, NH. The opening track, Rejected, is featured here.

Bob McCarthy was heard on an episode during the first season, and he's back this time with a fantastic bluesy number called "You Gotta Move". This one is courtesy of his Youtube channel.

In 2015, The Midweeklings released their second album, Now And Then. The entire album can be heard for free on their web page; the song Call Of The Wild is shared here.

Back to American Pie, where we get a song from local musician Andy Miller. The footage here was originally a Facebook Live broadcast on July 5, 2016.

Another Second Hand Sounds segment closes out the show; this one features an instrumental piece from "The Kitchen Music Sessions" by Bennett and Perkins.
